The Wilderness Bed and Breakfast

The Wilderness Bed and Breakfast is now open for business.

We opened in April of 2006 and do not have our health certificate yet. So, the breakfast part is delayed - but, we have reduced our rates until we are able to serve breakfast. In the meantime we're working on some delicious recipes. Stay tuned . . .

It's time to relax as you drive through the entrance to The Wilderness. Check in at the farmhouse, then drive to your private cottage. All cottages are equipped with everything you'll need for a refreshing vacation; dishes, pots and pans, bed linen, bath towels, etc.

You will want to bring your own food and recreation items such as hiking boots, swimsuit, beach towel, etc.

Other activities for which we have equipment are: volleyball, whiffle ball, badminton and frisbee.

You'll be pleased to know that we do not allow smoking in the cottages. Also, no pets are allowed.

We have four beautifully decorated cottages:

Cherokee Rose Cottage

Cherokee Rose Cottage

The Cherokee Rose cottage is the largest one with three bedrooms. When you stay in the Cherokee Rose you'll have the luxury of a king size bed, a queen size bed and two twin beds upstairs.

You will also be able to spread out and have your privacy with one full bath downstairs and a half bath upstairs. This cottage also has a dishwasher.

Enjoy your privacy on the screen porch of the Cherokee Rose. Sit and relax in the hot tub. Soak in the evening sun and your view of the pond.

Black Bear Cottage

Black Bear Cottage

If you're looking for something a bit more rugged, you might like the Black Bear Cottage.

Stepping into the cabin you might think it is a remote hunter's cabin.

You will enjoy two bedrooms in this cottage cottage; a Queen-size bed and two twin beds. The bedrooms are separated by the upstairs bathroom.

You might want to take a few minutes to just sit on the screen porch and soak in the peaceful environment. Speaking of soaking: we've added a private hot tub to this cottage.

Forget-Me-Knot Cottage

Forget-Me-Knot Cottage

You might notice the distinct decorations of the Forget-Me-Knot Cottage, as it is the honeymoon cottage. Many couples have signed their names and dates on the hearts stamped in the bathroom.

You'll have one bedroom with a Queen-size bed, plus a Twin-size daybed separated by the bathroom upstairs.screen porch

Mountain Meadow Cottage

Mountain Meadow Cottage

This quaint little cottage is perfect for a cozy weekend away with the one you love.

You'll walk down the stone path to your cottage and immediately feel the struggles and concerns wash away. Step in and you can relax and enjoy the peace of the wilderness that surrounds you.

A Queen-sized bed in the bedroom with a Queen-sized sofa bed in the living room.

Full kitchen and a screen porch.

The Farmhouse

Farmhouse

The Farmhouse started as a small three-room house. Then, as the years went by owners have made changes and additions. There is the upstairs addition, two actually. Then the North Wing, the South Wing, the East Wing and of course, the West Wing. There are seven bedrooms and four bathrooms, also the Music Room, the Library, a Screen Porch, Dining Room, the Game Room, the Kitchen, which is so large we have to differentiate the Kitchen from the Second Kitchen.

For the kids, we have a suite of rooms upstairs in the East Wing: the Captain's Quarters (in progress), the Quarterdeck and the Shipwreck.
